Alhaurin el grande

Located on the north side of the Sierra de Mijas at a height of 326 meters above sea level, with a nice climate of mild winters and hot summers and more than two thirds of the days per year sunshine.
The Valley del Guadalhorce, has an abundance of citrus and fruit trees and market gardens. Villafranco del Guadalhorce is a village within the municipality, created in the 1950s as an agricultura enclave.
The history of this village is rich ; influence of Stone-Age people, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Moors. The origin of the name was given by the Moorish who called it Alhaurin (garden) and the Catholic Monarchs added El Grande.
It is well central located with roads to Málaga Airport (25km) and Torremolinos, which takes about 30 minutes by car. In less then 20 minutes you find the beach, Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas.It is 33 km from Marbella.
Nowadays, it is a modern town however it still has siesta and between 14.00 and 17.00 shops close.
In town you find interesting monument, musea , Municipal Library, the Covered Swimming Pool , the Antonio Gala Theatre, and many parks . Near the entrance of Sierra de Mijas you find the 18 hole Alhaurin Golf.

Alhaurin de la Torre
This town is located 17km from Malaga. At the beginning of Guadalhorce valley and surrounded by the Sierra de Mijas mountains.
Citrus and subtropical fruit plantations and olive groves still cover the landscape.
There is a well-known Golfcourse: Lauro 27 Golf can be found in the middle of beautiful pure nature in spectacular surroundings. The course consists of 27 holes that can be played in three different combinations, all par 72.
There are beautiful (residential) properties for sale in this well maintained areas.
An important town in the region, also contains a number of places and features of interest to the tourist as the forests and churches.
It is essentially an Arabic town and it retains some of its original features.
It has a commercial shopping center with cinema, sport and wellness center, La Trocha , weekly ecological markets and a 2nd hand market on Sunday.
Beautiful nature with the lovely river area of barranco blanco.
Pizarra is only on 5 km from Alora situated and 30km from Malaga. It has a trainstation. The village is rich in archaelogical sites and remains of period times as for example «the bath of the Queen».
This town started with only 10 families . A statue of Jesus known locally as «El Santo» overlooks the village from the mountain top protecting its people.
On the hilltop of the white village Cartama you find a ruined fortress. The restored iron bridge Puente Verde or Puente de Hierro connects the main town with Estacion de Cartama, where you will find the train station.
Novaschool Sunland International is a private school in Cartama with a British International Curriculum for students from 3 to 18 years.
Cartama is only 17km from Malaga and 42km from Marbella.
It is well situated near the Malaga Technology park where global companies are located.

Alozaina is one of the 8 «white villages in Andalusia » Pueblos Blancos is located between Tolox, Casarabonela and Yunquera and in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves.
It is situated 52 km from Málaga and 41 from Ronda.
Ardales is a traditional white town, set on the side of a steep hill.
The town is surrounded by a series of lakes and reservoirs; hills and olive groves with at the background the Ronda Mountains.
Tolox is situated in the centre of the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park at the foot of the Sierra Blanca and the Sierra Parda. Sierra Parda has an hiking trail of 12.9km
